  • For Aloo Tikki
  • 4 medium boiled potatoes (grated)

  • 2 tbsp cornflour or rice flour

  • 1 green chili (finely chopped)

  • 1 tsp ginger paste

  • Salt to taste

  • ½ tsp red chili powder

  • ½ tsp cumin powder

  • 1 tbsp chopped coriander

  • Oil for shallow frying

  • For Chaat Toppings
  • ½ cup curd (whisked)

  • Tamarind chutney – 2 tbsp

  • Green chutney – 2 tbsp

  • Finely chopped onion – 1

  • Fresh coriander – chopped

  • Chaat masala – to sprinkle

  • Nylon sev – for garnish

  • Pomegranate (optional)

Directions

  • Prepare the Aalu Ki Tikki
  • In a bowl, combine boiled & grated potatoes, cornflour, chopped green chili, ginger paste, and spices.
  • Mix well and form small tikkis (patties).
  • Heat oil in a tawa and shallow fry until both sides are crispy golden brown.
  • Assemble the Aloo Tikki Chaat
  • Place 2–3 hot tikkis on a plate.
  • Top with whisked curd, green chutney, and tamarind chutney.
  • Sprinkle chopped onions, coriander, and chaat masala.
  • Garnish with nylon sev and pomegranate if using.
